To be completely transparent with you all – I WATCH TOO MANY MAKEUP YOUTUBE VIDEOS.  It’s true.  I’m addicted to watching makeup hauls, monthly makeup favorites, makeup must haves, and tutorials.  I can not help this makeup addiction.  Guess it’s better than plenty of other addictions but still.  Makeup is one of my secret obsessions.  It’s an art that I completely enjoy watching and actually doing.  However, I used to be completely terrified to venture out of my comfort zone.  I’ve tried more products than I would like to mention to compile this list.

Before we dig in too far… I should definitely provide you with my specifics.  My skin is combination to dry with extremely dry skin on my forehead and upper cheeks.  I used to have oily skin and pretty bad acne, however, my oily and acne prone skin is gone since I had my Nexplanon removed.   Some scarring on my chin is left over from my acne that I do like to cover.  I’ll provide the links below to all of the items that I’m referencing in this post, if I’m able to provide one.

Okay, so this isn’t exactly makeup but who doesn’t want to smell good?!  These are my favorites.  I just grab whichever one I’m feeling like that day!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb – This is one of my favorites because it is just so feminine.  I just have the rollerball of this one so I love to keep it in my purse or on my vanity and it’s so perfect.  I will say that it doesn’t seem to last as long as the others on my list, however, it smells so amazing that I couldn’t leave it off of the list!  So floral, feminine, and noticeable!

My Burberry Blush – AHHHH!  This perfume is so refreshing.  It smells super fresh and feminine to me.  The bottle is gorgeous on my vanity and Burberry really did a great job on this one.  It is PRICEY.  But, a little tiny squirt of this will last you all day.  I looooooove this one.  In my opinion, this is such a classic scent and one that everyone should either own or at least smell.  I’m really happy with it!

Elizabeth and James White – This is one of the more fresh smelling scents that I’ve ever owned.  It is magic, to me.  I love mixing this one and the Elizabeth and James Black to make a perfect mix of scents.  I use this any time that I want to be subtle but still have people notice the scent.  It’s so good.  Seriously.  SO GOOD.

Elizabeth and James Amethyst – This is the newest scent to my collection and I seriously can not get enough.  I am obsessed.  It is a much deeper scent and less floral than the ones above.  It is my scent.  I actually got this one because my sister got me a perfume sampler from Sephora for Christmas and then you get to pick one to get in full size… it was a no brainer.  This one was different than the rest and completely blew me away!

Dr. Dennis Gross Self Tanner Pads – It’s about that time, folks.  I can’t handle to not have any tan.  I like to use these in the Gradual Flow so that I can work up to a tan on my face without looking like I’m crazy!  These are extremely easy to use and come packaged so you don’t have a huge mess!  Also, I really think these are foolproof and you don’t have to fake bake to get that just off the lake look!

St. Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan – I LOVE THIS!  I haven’t used it in awhile because I was pregnant last summer and I just didn’t want to use any products that I didn’t have to use.  This stuff will give you that amazing glow in no time but is completely non streaky and will not turn you orange.  Thank goodness!

St. Tropez Starter Kit – This starter kit is amazing if you are not used to self tanning.  This will give you everything that you need to give it a shot and see what you think.  This is one of the only sets that does not leave streaks or leave me orange!  I love this set and it lasted me a really long time (I think about 3 months)!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – This primer has an oil free formula which is super amazing if you have acne prone skin like I do!  This will make your skin smooth and give you a good base for the rest of your makeup.  A good primer will make your foundation look so much better than if you just put it on your bare face!

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer – Sort of the same idea as the Smashbox option right above this.  However, this one seems to work a little bit better on my dry skin.  Both of these are great options and you can always ask for some samples at Sephora if you want to try them out before you purchase them!

Beautyblender – This sponge has made my life so much easier!  This leaves my cream and liquid products seamless.  I could never get my makeup to have the look that I wanted with a brush.  It’s true.  Practice didn’t help me.  BUT, the beauty blender was a game changer for me.  I, personally, like the black ‘pro’ beauty blender because it doesn’t look quite as gross after use.  Please just remember to replace these every few months because that’s gross… think of all of the bacteria that can hang out in there!

Tweezerman Rose Gold Eyelash Curler – This eyelash curler is the BOMB.  Maybe it’s the rose gold, maybe it’s how close it gets to the base of the lashes… who knows?!  It really is a great one!  I’ve owned a few of these and the band always falls out or the entire handle falls off (true story).  This one has held up incredibly well and is beautiful, too!

Tweezerman Rose Gold Tweezers – There really isn’t much to say about a pair of tweezers but this one really does a great job.  These are super sharp and Tweezerman is top of the line in my opinion.  I seriously love these and, again, they are gorgeous!

Sigma Tapered Highlighter F35 – This brush is technically a highlighter brush.  However, I love to use this to place my powder under my eyes.  This is the perfect size and really does well with the super finely milled powder!  You really can’t go wrong with Sigma, in my opinion.

Sigma Tapered Blending E40 – This brush is the best if you like to do a smokey eye.  Seriously does such a great job at blending.  I love to use this to smoke out any look!  I use this any time that I use an eyeshadow… my obsession is probably unhealthy, to be honest!

Real Techniques Powder Brush – This SUPER inexpensive brush is the best.  I’ve tried quite a few powder brushes and this one is great and super cheap!  I got mine for around $5 at Target and I love it!  I use it all the time for all sorts of things!

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ –  This is my favorite matte foundation of all time.  If you are looking for a matte finish foundation, I can’t suggest this one enough!  It has a gorgeous matte finish without making your face look dry or drying your skin out.  That’s super important for us dry skin girls!   It is oil free and water resistant, as well.  I am in shade #30, if that helps you choose a shade!

tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation – This is an SPF 15 foundation that leaves my face with a satin to slightly dewy finish.  This is super hydrating and feels so light on the face.  I actually forget that I have it on while I wear this one!  The wear isn’t super long (I would guess around 8-10 hours) but it is worth it!  I wear shade light neutral.  Be sure to really shake this one.  The only thing that I don’t like is the dropper style of lid.  It’s super messy, which I do not care for!

it Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC+ – I like to just apply this with my fingers and then just bounce my beauty blender over it so make it look seamless. This really does just take my skin up a notch.  I really feel like this just feels like a moisturizer.  I love this and I wear shade Medium!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – This concealer is my all time favorite.  Seriously.  I don’t believe that it gets better than this.  This is a medium coverage concealer that feels like a super lightweight concealer.  I wear the shade light 2.5 (Creme Brûlée).  It blends flawlessly with my beauty blender! I can’t recommend this one enough!

tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush – I love this in the shade Paaarty really does last for 12 hours and it’s so natural looking on the skin! This color is subtle but yet really does add a little something extra to your makeup!  Also, this is super buildable so if you want to add a couple of layers to make it pop just a little bit more!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush – I have this blush in the shade Radiant Magenta.  I really like this when I want something a little bit more bold than my everyday tarte blush!  This one is super fun and is super noticeable, if you want it to be!

Urban Decay Perversion – This foundation makes my short lashes to look like they are a decent length but without clumps!  I love this mascara!!!

Marc Jacobs Major Volume – If you’re looking for volume for your lashes… you can stop your search.  THIS IS IT. It will leave your lashes a little bit clumpy but I honestly don’t mind that, personally!  If you do not like any clumps in your mascara game… this is not for you!!

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Creme – I love this lipstick in the shade C211.  It doesn’t last a super long time but I still love it and this shade is super wearable.  This is sort of one of those ‘my lips but better’!

Lipsense – If you don’t have someone to purchase from, let me know and I can set you up with my girl! I’m currently obsessed with how long this lasts.  I love that it doesn’t come off on my baby when I kiss on her and it really does last me all day!  I’m currently really loving Mod Magenta and Blu-Red.  These shades will get you out of your comfort zone but will help you to feel comfortable wearing a brighter color!  WOO!  I love these colors and I’m obsessed with the Rose gloss!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – This is one of the best ones that I’ve ever used.  If you have oily eye lids… meet your new best friend!  This will seriously change your eyeshadow game!  No more creasing or disappearing eyeshadow!

Lorac Pro Palette – I love this palette because I feel like the shades are flattering on anyone.  They are super pigmented and this one palette is all that you would need to travel.  I really like using the Champagne, Sable, and Deep Purple for a fun look – I have green eyes and I love the Deep Purple because it really makes the green stand out more!
